Vermont State Police looking for suspects who allegedly kidnapped victim with a baseball bat

The Vermont State Police are currently looking for a suspect accused of kidnapping a victim while armed with a baseball bat. The Vermont State Police reports that troopers responded to a kidnapping that occurred days prior from a residence on Vermont Route 116 in Starksboro on June 12, 2024.

VSP says the investigation determined that 32-year-old Anthony Seagroves was armed with a baseball bat when he ordered a household member into a vehicle, drove away, and caused bodily injury to the victim while restraining them.

It is alleged that 28-year-old Katelynn Cannon assisted Seagroves. Cannon is accused of physically assaulting and attempting to cause serious bodily injury to the victim. On June 12, 2024, Burlington Police Department officers attempted to apprehend Seagroves who fled in a gray Honda CR-V.

VSP says the vehicle was likely driven by Cannon. The Honda CR-V should have Vermont registration plate CRW914. Seagroves and Cannon are not in custody. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact the New Haven Barracks at 802-388-4919.
