Las Vegas Metropolitan Police identifies a 28-year-old suspect in a fatal shooting in the 9700 block of Horseback Circle. Isaac Velasquez allegedly shot his father during a domestic dispute on November 27, 2023.

During a 911 call at approximately 11:18 p.m., a dispatcher heard arguing followed by what sounded like a gunshot. While the 911 dispatcher had the caller on the line, dispatch received two additional calls, one from a woman stating her husband was shot by her son and the other from a man stating he had been shot.

Upon arrival at the residence, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Responding medics pronounced the man deceased.

Following an investigation, officers determined Velasquez was holding a firearm while arguing with the victim. At some point, Velasquez shot the victim.

A neighborhood canvas was initiated to locate the suspect. Officers found Velasquez hiding in a nearby yard. Velasquez was remanded to the Clark County Detention Center for murder.
