The Vallejo Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting on Friday. VPD reports that its officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of Tennessee Street and Humboldt Street around 12:00 p.m. on July 5, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

VPD’s Homicide Detectives responded to the scene to assume control of the investigation. No other details are available at this time. The fatal shooting is the 10th homicide in Vallejo in 2024.
