According to a social media post from the Vallejo Police Department, officers responded to a call for service regarding a shooting in the 1000 block of Alabama Street on November 11, 2023 around 8:30 PM. When officers reached the scene, they found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided medical aid until medical personnel arrived.

The male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded to the scene to take over the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation. The victim’s identity is being withheld until the next of kin can be notified.

The Vallejo Police Department says this marks the 21st homicide in the city of Vallejo, California in 2023.
