The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the charges against a man have been upgraded after the body of a missing man was found in the Trinity River. On December 30, 2023, Liberty County investigators and the Harris County Sheriff’s Dive Team found the body of a missing man in the river.
During a press conference, Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons announced that Tyler Williams had been charged with Capital Murder. Williams was involved in an hours-long standoff on Thursday in Holiday Villages. He is being held in Polk County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
