Update 4/18/2024 – Napa Police have identified the victims and suspects in the double homicide on Riverside Drive. In an update, NPD said that the victims were 17-year-old Sasha Mufich and 19-year-old Aileen Villasenor.
Three suspects are in custody in connection to this double homicide. 19-year-old Judith Adolph was arrested and booked on a charge of Aiding in a Felony. 19-year-old Jessica Whitten is facing the same charge. 22-year-old John Nicholson Jr. is charged with two counts of Murder. All three suspects are in custody at this time.
Update 4/15/2024 – The Napa Police Department has provided an update on the double fatal shooting on Riverside Drive. According to NPD, the victims’ names are not being released at this time. The Napa County Sheriff’s Office Coroner has preliminary identified the victims as a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office says it cannot confirm the identities until the autopsies are complete. They’re scheduled to take place on Thursday. The victims are acquaintances with familial ties to Napa. A black-colored compact sedan was spotted leaving the scene following the shooting.
Napa Police Department investigators do not believe this is a random shooting. This marks the first homicide in the City of Napa since 2022.
Original – Two women have been fatally shot in Napa. According to the Napa Police Department, Central Dispatch received a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Riverside Drive around 8:10 p.m. on April 13, 2024. At the scene, Napa Police Department officers found two female victims suffering from at least one gunshot wound each.
Medical personnel immediately provided life-saving measures, but one victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second victim was transported to an area hospital where she passed away. The Napa County Major Crimes Investigation Team has assumed control of the investigation. NPD is asking anyone with information to contact Detective Dustin Dodd at 707-257-9568.
