The Portland Police Bureau is investigating a fatal shooting in the East Columbia neighborhood around 8:09 p.m. tonight. Officers from the North Precinct responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Northeast Faloma Road around 8:09 p.m. on December 31, 2023.

At the scene, officers found two men suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victims were transported to an area hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries. Homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate.

During the investigation, a portion of Northeast Faloma Road will be closed.
