Two men are dead in a possible murder-suicide in Ventura County, California. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office reports that Thousand Oaks Police Department deputies responded to a call for service of two individuals with gunshot wounds at a residence in the 100 block of North Jerome Avenue.

At the scene, deputies spoke to a female witness and determined that a homicide had occurred. VCSO’s Major Crimes Unit and East County Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assume control of the investigation.

Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates that a male suspect entered the home and fatally shot the male victim. Then, the male suspect fatally shot himself. It is believed that this is an isolated incident. All partners were known to each other.
