The St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Department says two people are dead following a murder-suicide on Friday. Authorities say deputies responded to 21127 LA Highway 43 in Greensburg for a welfare check on Mrs. Billie Hayman Miller around 11:30 a.m. on October 11.

At the scene, deputies reportedly found Mrs. Billie Miller and Mr. Richard Miller Jr. deceased. Authorities believe that Richard Miller fatally shot Billie Miller before turning the gun on himself.
