The Tupelo Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to the shooting of a motor vehicle. TPD reports that its officers responded to the area of Burress Circle after bullet holes were found on a vehicle.

At the scene, officers identified two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire. The owners of the vehicles believed the shooting occurred sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. No one was injured in this incident.

On June 17, 2024, TPD arrested 31-year-old Lantrel Patterson on two counts of Shooting into a Motor Vehicle. TPD confirms this is the third arrest made in this incident.
