A female is in custody following an investigation into a shooting that occurred at 35 N. Sheridan Road on December 14, 2023. Marquita Jones was arrested on shooting with intent to kill and knowingly concealing stolen property charges.

Tulsa Police Department was dispatched to 35 N. Sheridan Road, the Oyo Motel, at 4:05 p.m. on December 14, 2023, to investigate a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.

Following an investigation, officers determined that the victim and a female were in an argument when the female shot the victim. The female fled the scene.

Officers located the weapon utilized in the shooting at the motel.

The female suspect was apprehended in the area of 6500 E. Admiral at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The female suspect has been identified as Marquita Jones.
