The Tulsa Police Department has arrested a suspect in the slaying of a woman. According to TSP, officers were called to check the well-being of a woman at an apartment near 1400 South Quincy around 12:30 a.m. on February 24, 2024. At the scene, officers found the victim, 50-year-old Chandra Cole, deceased inside her apartment with multiple stab wounds including some to the face.
Detectives say they determined that the victim’s boyfriend, Dilan Newberry, was the suspect in the case. Newberry was arrested in Cushing by officers with the Cushing Police Department. He has since been booked into the Tulsa County Jail for 1st Degree Murder.
