Tulsa Police arrest suspect in city’s 2nd homicide of 2025

Tulsa, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to the death of Alan Underwood Jr.

According to a TPD statement, officers responded to a call at 100 South Utica on January 10, 2025. The victim, Underwood, was found deceased in the snow.

TPD Homicide Detectives and Patrol Officers investigated the crime. TPD says help from citizens and surveillance cameras aided with the identification of the suspect.

Authorities say the suspect, Jason Lynn, was found staying in a homeless encampment near 5th and Utica around four blocks from the crime scene.

During an interview, Lynn allegedly confessed to a physical altercation with the victim. Lynn was arrested for Murder.

TPD says Lynn is a tribal member and falls under the McGirt ruling. He will be prosecuted in either Tribal Court or Federal Court. He is currently being held on an FBI hold.
