The Tulsa Police Department has announced the arrest of Brittany Kelley for Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Larceny of Property. Kelley is accused of stealing a pickup truck and dragging a man down the street.
TPD reports that officers responded to an Auto Theft call in Progress near East 50th Pl and North Peoria around 4:30 p.m. on June 2, 2024. The caller informed authorities they saw a woman taking the victim’s truck and dragging the victim down the block.
TPD says officers obtained video from witnesses that showed the victim being dragged before falling off. As officers were speaking to the victim, they learned that the suspect returned to the location of the crime and parked the stolen truck in the yard.
Officers contacted the suspect, Brittany Kelley, who was sitting on the porch. TPD says Kelley ignored commands. Pepper balls were deployed and Kelley was taken into custody. The victim suffered minor injuries.
