The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of stealing an Xbox and a PlayStation. TCSO reports that deputies responded to the 300 block of South Fulton Avenue for a follow-up regarding a larceny.
Earlier Tuesday, the victim contacted TCSO to say he had a video of his consoles being stolen. The victim later found that the items were listed for sale on Facebook by someone he knew.
Deputies contacted the suspect through text messaging in an attempt to purchase the stolen items. At the meeting location, deputies spotted the suspect, 23-year-old Cody Chase, who fled on foot.
Chase was quickly apprehended following a brief pursuit. TCSO says its deputies found numerous amounts of controlled substances on the suspect. A search of his room allegedly led to the stolen items listed on Facebook.
Chase was charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Fentanyl, Grand Larceny, Obstructing Officer, and Possession of CD with Intent to Distribute.
