The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a suspect died following a home invasion. TCSO reports that its deputies responded to a home invasion in Strathmore around 10 a.m. on Sunday.

At the scene, deputies learned that people inside the home restrained the suspect until authorities arrived and arrested the suspect. During the booking procedure, deputies determined that the suspect needed a medical clearance due to erratic behavior.

The suspect was transported to Sierra View Hospital where he suffered a medical emergency and passed away. An autopsy will determine the cause of death. The suspect’s name is not being released at this time.
