Tulare County Sheriff’s Office investigating after 14-year-old shooting victim passes away

Update – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a second suspect in connection to a shooting in Pixley. Around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, detectives arrested 21-year-old LaVaughn Johnson as a suspect in the shooting of two 14-year-olds on June 4, 2024.

Johnson will face charges of Homicide and Attempted Homicide.

 

Original – The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting that occurred around midnight on Tuesday. TCSO deputies responded to the 900 block of East Lavinia Avenue in Pixley for a report of a gunshot victim.

At the scene, responding deputies found two juvenile victims in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

In an update, TCSO confirmed that one 14-year-old victim had succumbed to his injuries. 23-year-old Jeremiah Graham was arrested at his home in the 700 block of Jacob Street in Visalia.

Graham was wanted in the double shooting of two 14-year-old boys. TCSO says Graham fled from the home only to be apprehended a short time later. He was initially booked on two counts of attempted murder.

With the victim’s passing, TCSO will seek to charge Graham with one count of murder.
