Delano, California –  The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media statement that five people were arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges in connection to a rooster-fighting investigation in Delano.

According to TCSO, deputies responded to the area of Avenue 16 and Road 176 regarding a report of possible rooster fighting. Authorities say several live birds and deceased birds were found and collected by Tulare County Animal Control.

TCSO AG Detectives reportedly found and seized scales, fighting gaffes, and other evidence. TCSO asks anyone with information about this case to contact Detective Ryan Pugh or Sergeant Joseph Armstrong with the Ag Crimes Unit at 559-733-6218.
