The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating an assault with a firearm complaint that occurred in the 13000 block of Cannery Road in Queen Anne. Authorities say 33-year-old Travis N. Lynch was arrested and charged with two counts of First Degree Assault, three counts of Second Degree Assault, and two counts of Reckless Endangerment.
On December 22, 2023, investigators responded to the University of Maryland Emergency Center in Queenstown to interview an individual who reported they were the victim of two separate assaults in September and October. Investigators say they learned that the first incident happened sometime in September or October 2023 at a Cannery Road address.
Travis Lynch allegedly grabbed the victim after she caught him performing a sex act while watching her in the bathroom. According to investigators, the second incident happened in October at the Cannery Road address. The victim said she was sitting in a vehicle in her driveway with another individual when Lynch allegedly accosted them with a pistol.
On December 22, 2023, an arrest warrant was obtained for Travis N. Lynch. Investigators say they were watching the Cannery Road address when they witnessed a vehicle believed to be owned by Lynch leave. Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division Deputies initiated a traffic stop and identified Lynch as the front seat passenger.
He was arrested. Following his arrest, detectives say they carried out a search and seizure warrant at the Cannery Road address where Lynch was residing. At the residence, detectives claim to have recovered pistol ammunition. In the vehicle, they reportedly found a loaded pistol hidden under a trim panel in the front seat passenger area. Additional charges are pending since Lynch is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a regulated firearm.
