The Thibodaux Police Department is currently investigating a double shooting that injured two. Police Chief Bryan Zeringue reports that detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred at a bar in the 400 block of Gerald T. Petlier Drive around 10:15 p.m. on July 28, 2024.

At this time, it has been confirmed that two individuals were shot during the incident. The victims’ names are being withheld at this time. The investigation is ongoing. TPD says the victims were transported to an area hospital.

Their conditions are not known. Locals should expect a heavy police presence as the investigation progresses.
