The Arlington Police Department arrests three in connection to the November 2023 slaying of Jared Jackson

According to a press release from the Arlington Police Department, three have been arrested in connection to the November 12, 2023 fatal shooting of 26-year-old Jared Jackson. Homicide detectives obtained arrest warrants for 23-year-old Brenton Smith, 19-year-old Ahmed Osman, and 17-year-old Jaka Livingston on Capital Murder charges. Authorities say members of the United States Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force located and apprehended all three suspects.

The suspects were booked into the Arlington City Jail and have since been transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. Detectives suspect Mr. Smith got into a dispute with Jared Jackson over drugs or money. Then, he allegedly brought Livingston and Osman to Jared Jackson’s apartment in the 1000 block of West Arkansas Lane where they shot him.
