Update – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the individual involved in the officer-involved shooting on March 16, 2024. In a media release, the department identified the man as 42-year-old Donavan Ray Favors of Dallas, Texas. The Texas Rangers are investigating the incident.

Original Story – The Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting involving the Frisco Police Department. The incident happened in the 5500 block of Lorraine Drive in Frisco on March 16, 2024. At the time, FPD officers were responding to a possible burglary.

According to a media release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the suspect allegedly opened fire on the officers who returned fire. The suspect succumbed to his injuries. The suspect’s identity is pending identification confirmation by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
