A Tennessee caregiver has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a vulnerable adult. The TBI reports that it received a referral from Adult Protective Services in August and began investigating allegations of sexual exploitation involving a physically and intellectually disabled man in Carter County.

TBI alleges that its agent learned that Selena Catherine Silver was employed as a caregiver at the time. She allegedly began a sexual relationship with the victim and gave him controlled substances and other illicit drugs.

An arrest warrant has been obtained for Silver charging her with Sexual Battery by an Authority Figure, Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult, Sexual Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult, and Stalking.

Silver was booked into the Carter County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
