The Temple Police Department reports that it has arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting on Thornton Lane that injured one individual.

According to TPD, its officers responded to the 3300 block of Thornton Lane for a shooting around 8:10 p.m. on November 28, 2024.

Police say one person was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

TPD says it arrested 19-year-old Colby Torres from Temple, Texas. TPD assures that there is no threat to the public at this time.
