Officers with the Memphis Police Department were dispatched to 2341 Dexter Avenue before midnight on November 27, 2023, to investigate a report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, officers located a teenage girl inside a residence and shell casings.

Two suspects on foot and another suspect inside a light-colored sedan fired shots at two separate residences on Dexter Avenue. A teenager inside one of the target residences was hit by gunfire.

According to a Memphis Police Department social media post, the sedan was last seen traveling eastbound on Dexter Avenue. The two suspects on foot fled westbound on Dexter Avenue.

The female teen’s condition is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing. A cash reward is being offered for information regarding the shooting at 2341 Dexter Avenue. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
