The Tarrant Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect accused of pointing a rifle at his ex-girlfriend. Around 10:57 a.m. on December 17, 2023, the Tarrant Police Department was contacted at the intersection of Ford Avenue and Pinson Street regarding a man who allegedly pointed a rifle at a moving vehicle occupied by his ex-girlfriend.

An officer pursued the suspect vehicle to the intersection of Bethel Avenue and Pinson Valley Parkway where it was totaled. Authorities say Dominique Jarmel Orr had a protective order against him in connection to the victim.

Orr was taken into custody. He is charged with Domestic Violence in the First Degree, Attempting to Elude, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree. Orr is being held in the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Jail with no bond.
