Two men are behind bars after Tarrant Police responded to a burglary alarm at Kessler’s Pharmacy on East Lake Boulevard. TPD reports that officers responded to the pharmacy at 1152 East Lake Boulevard around 12:44 a.m. on May 12, 2024.
At the scene, officers determined that at least one suspect was still inside the pharmacy. An officer from the Fultondale Police Department responded to assist. TPD says Xavier Deangelo Catlin and Cardall Lamar Tolbert were found hiding inside the pharmacy below the HVAC system.
The suspects allegedly entered through a wall causing significant damage. TPD says officers found a duffle bag containing prescription drugs including Hydrocodone. Other areas of the business were also damaged. TPD claims a confession was obtained admitting to burglarizing a nearby business and Kessler’s Pharmacy using a crowbar with the intention of stealing copper.
Tolbert and Catlin are charged with Attempted Trafficking of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Burglary in the Third Degree (Two Counts), Possession of Burglar’s Tools, and Theft of Property in the Second Degree.
