Tam Van Nguyen arrested for stabbing incident in Manteca

The Manteca Police Department has arrested a 45-year-old Manteca man for allegedly stabbing another man. MPD reports that officers responded to a report of a man walking along the 200 block of North Union Road while bleeding around 5:25 p.m. on May 15, 2024.

At the scene, officers determined that two individuals had been involved in a physical altercation that led to one being stabbed with a sharp object. The men involved were acquainted with one another.

The victim received treatment and remains in stable condition at an area hospital. The other party was located and taken into custody around 11 a.m. on May 16, 2024. Detectives are currently investigating the incident.

MPD describes the injured man as a white male in his mid-50s. MPD says detectives determined that 45-year-old Tam Van Nguyen was responsible for the stabbing. He has been booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
