The Tallahassee Police Department has apprehended a suspect in a recent shooting. TPD is investigating a shooting that occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the Greens at Old Saint Augustine Apartments at 2001 Old Saint Augustine Road. At the scene, a suspect fired multiple rounds at an officer before fleeing on foot.

The officer was not struck by gunfire. A manhunt was initiated for an armed and dangerous suspect who was described as a 17-year-old black male wearing red shorts and no shirt. In a later update, TPD confirmed that the suspect was in custody.
