The Tallahassee Police Department announced the arrest of one person in a shooting in the 2100 block of Melanie Drive on November 28, 2023. TPD said the incident started because of a dispute over $15 owed to Ashley Pollock following a previous drug transaction. Pollock allegedly arrived at the residence with Delma Pace around 2 p.m. to collect the debt.

Once the door was open, a verbal dispute started. Pollock allegedly brandished a firearm. An adult male inside the home produced a firearm and shot at Pollock and Pace. Both sustained serious injuries. On December 5, 2023, Pace succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

Following a consultation with the State Attorney’s Office, TPD detectives have obtained warrants to charge Ashley Pollock with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and homicide.
