Update – Family have identified the victim as mother of seven, Ngaire Tusi, who was well known in the community.

Officers from the Tacoma Police Department were dispatched to the 3100 block of South Madison Street at 8:35 a.m. on December 18, 2023. Responding officers located an unresponsive adult female victim.

The female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Tacoma Fire.

At 9:47 p.m., the Tacoma Police Department released an update on the case via a social media post. The victim’s death was ruled a homicide by crime scene technicians processing the crime scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
