The Tacoma Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide that occurred on July 27. TPD reports that its officers responded to the 9200 block of South Hosmer Street for a reported shooting around 2 a.m. on July 27, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were taken, but the victim succumbed to his injuries. On August 1, 2024, TPD arrested a 27-year-old male suspect.

The suspect was booked on charges of Murder in the 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm While not Being a Citizen of the United States. No other details are available at this time.
