Update – The Tacoma Police Department said in a social media post that it had arrested a suspect in connection to Saturday’s homicide. According to TPD, officers were conducting a homicide in the 1800 block of South 15th Street on March 24. TPD says there is no threat to the public.
In an update on March 26, 2024, TPD said detectives had contacted the alleged suspect in Saturday’s homicide. The suspect turned himself in to authorities and was arrested for Murder in the First Degree.
Original Story – The Tacoma Police Department is investigating a homicide. TPD officers responded to the 1800 block of South 15th Street for a homicide investigation. Detectives and Crime Scene personnel have responded to the scene.
TPD says there is no threat to the public. Due to a police presence in the area, TPD asks locals to use alternate routes until the matter can be resolved. No other details are available at this time.
