Sussex Police say a man who stabbed a vulnerable drug user has been jailed for three-and-a-half years. According to the Sussex Police, Jordan McFarlane also received a Serious Violence Reduction Order related to the incident on July 26 on Tennyson Road. At the scene, police and paramedics found a 32-year-old victim with two stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Sussex Police, the victim met McFarlane to buy drugs. Without warning, 20-year-old McFarlane allegedly violently attacked the victim. Two days later, McFarlane was arrested near his home address and was found to be in possession of a knife. An examination of a mobile phone revealed McFarlane had regularly supplied Class A drugs to the victim.
Jordan McFarlane was arrested and charged with supplying crack cocaine and diamorphine, two counts of possession of a knife in public, and causing grievous bodily harm. McFarlane pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to 42 months imprisonment.
