The Elkhart Police Department reports that a suspect is in custody following a shooting in front of 1st Source Bank at 2020 East Bristol Street. EPD says it received a 911 call about a shooting with injuries in the parking lot of the bank around 4:09 p.m. on Thursday.

Authorities say first responders found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. According to authorities, the victim’s condition is not known at this time.

EPD says its officers located and took a male suspect into custody. Authorities say none of the individuals inside the bank reported any injuries.
