The Suffolk Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred earlier this evening. Just before 6 p.m. on February 29, 2024, Suffolk 911 received a call for service for a person shot in the 200 block of North 4th Street.

A 16-year-old male victim was treated at the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue before being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, no suspect information is available.
