The Suffolk Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that injured several others. SPD reports that its Emergency Communications Center received a call about a shooting in the 800 block of East Washington Street around 11:25 p.m. on September 12, 2024.

At the scene, responding SPD officers found multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Suffolk Fire and Rescue reached the scene and provided treatment. An adult male victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Three other victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 888-LOCK-U-UP.
