The Stockton Police Department has announced the arrest of a homicide suspect. Around 11:50 a.m. on September 23, 2023, a male victim was shot in the area of East Ninth Street and Anne Street. Paramedics carried out life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

On January 12, 2024, SPD detectives arrested 19-year-old Jaiden Liggins in connection to this homicide. Liggins was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for homicide.
