The Stockton Police Department has arrested a suspect in a February shooting. According to SPD, officers responded to the 6200 block of North Pershing Avenue for a report of a person shot just before 9 p.m. on February 20, 2024. At the scene, responding officers found a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. On March 20, 2024, detectives announced that a 16-year-old male suspect had been arrested in connection to the homicide. The suspect was booked into San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall.
