Stockton Police arrest Colbrin Mahan in connection to homicide on February 13

The Stockton Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a homicide on February 13. Around 11:45 p.m. on February 13, 2024, officers responded to the 300 block of Florence Street in reference to a suspicious person in the area. At the scene, officers were advised that the suspect had entered a backyard and a home while armed with a knife.

SPD said the suspect threatened the occupants and attacked them. Two victims suffered stab wounds as a result. The suspect was still in the residence when police arrived, but was promptly taken into custody. A 31-year-old male victim and a 57-year-old male victim were transported to a local hospital.

The 31-year-old victim passed away. The 57-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 27-year-old Colbrin Mahan was booked for burglary and homicide charges.
