State’s Attorney For Baltimore City announces indictment against juvenile and parents in Carver High School shooting

State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates announced that a juvenile and their parents had been indicted for a non-fatal shooting and assault that happened at Carver High School in October 2023. Tiffany Harrison and William Dredden were indicted on 33 different charges, including First-Degree Assault, Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and more.

Dredden was also indicted on two counts of Illegal Possession of a Firearm with Disqualifying Previous Conviction and one count of Illegal Possession of Ammunition. The indictment alleges that William Dredden, Tiffany Harrison, and their juvenile son worked together to commit a first-degree assault on a student by striking him repeatedly with a handgun and their fists at Carver High School before 8 AM on October 27, 2023.

As they were leaving the area following the assault, the juvenile reportedly fired his handgun at another student. The victim was struck with at least two gunshots. A third student was also struck. Authorities say all events were captured on video. The juvenile defendant and a student allegedly pulled out handguns and shot at each other multiple times.

During the gunfight, the juvenile grabbed his abdomen where he had been shot. Following the incident, Dredden called 911 to report his son had been shot and Harrison rode in the ambulance to Shock Trauma with her son. The other victims were also treated for their injuries.
