Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office arrests Modesto City School employee in Internet youth sex sting operation

A Modesto City School employee was arrested in an Internet youth sex sting operation. On June 24, 2024, detectives staged a meet-up with 63-year-old Kevin Morgan and an undercover detective posing as a 13-year-old child.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office reports that the two had been in contact with one another for a week and were using an undercover social media account screen name and handle.

Morgan agreed to meet at Beyer Park. Investigators say the plan was to relocate to Morgan’s home where the adult and child were to engage in sexual intercourse. Morgan was arrested without incident.

The investigation moved to Morgan’s residence. Personal electronic communication devices were seized for forensic screening. SCSO says Morgan was a campus supervisor with the school district at Mark Twain Junior High.

Morgan was booked on three separate felony charges of sending harmful material to a minor with the intent to seduce.
