The St. Martinville Police Department reports that a suspect is in custody in connection to a homicide that occurred at the St. Martin Sr. High homecoming game. SMPD says 22-year-old Zackyric Gardner was arrested on an arrest warrant for Second-Degree Murder.

Authorities say the arrest warrant was sent to agencies along the I-10 Corridor. Police stopped a vehicle in Texas and the suspect was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle. SMPD says Gardner was arrested and will be transported to St. Martin Parish.

His bond has been set at $10 million. No other details are available at this time.
