A 62-year-old man was found inside an abandoned vehicle in Hahnville. Now, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the man’s death. SCPSO reports that deputies responded to the 200 block of Sycamore Drive around 12:30 p.m. on May 15 for a report of a man found deceased.
At the scene, deputies found 62-year-old Kevin Scott inside an abandoned vehicle straddling two empty lots fronting Lincoln and Shawn Streets. SCPSO says family members advised that Scott had been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and recently moved to Florida for treatment.
Scott had returned to Hahnville at the end of April to attend a funeral. Following the funeral, Scott visited friends in Hahnville and had not been heard from since. SCPSO says no signs of foul play were suspected and there is no apparent trauma. The body was in a severe state of decomposition.
