A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting on Wedgewood Avenue in Spokane, Washington. SPD officers responded to the area of 200 East Wedgewood Avenue just before midnight on June 25, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a deceased male victim in a walkway area. It is believed a group of people became involved in an altercation before the shooting. In an update, SPD said that probable cause had been developed to arrest a suspect.

The suspect was taken into custody in Spokane Valley near Pines and I90. 23-year-old Wyatt F. Comer was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of 2nd Degree Murder. SPD says Comer has an extensive violent criminal history including six felony convictions.
