Update – South Bend Police have identified the victim of Friday’s shooting on Victoria Street as 16-year-old Alyyus Enoexpettiford. SBPD says the victim’s autopsy was carried out on Saturday morning.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

Original – The South Bend Police Department announced that its Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide on East Victoria Street. SBPD reports that officers responded to the 500 block of East Victoria Street for a reported shooting around 5:45 p.m. on June 14, 2024.

At the scene, SBPD officers located a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. The juvenile victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. SBPD’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the homicide.
