The Snoqualmie Police Department has identified the subjects in a recent North Bend murder-suicide. Around 3:46 p.m. on January 31, 2024, officers responded to 964 Stone Brook Drive Southwest In North Bend Washington after maintenance workers found a deceased male during a welfare check as part of a formal eviction process.
Officers found another deceased person in a large freezer in the apartment’s garage. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Coalition of Small Police Agencies Major Crimes Task Force were called to assist with the investigation. SPD said this appears to be an isolated murder-suicide.
The autopsies were completed on February 5, 2024 and indicate that the male was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The female victim was killed by a single gunshot wound before being placed in the freezer. The subjects have been identified as 60-year-old Judy M. Loewe and 60-year-old David E. Loewe.
