Shelby County authorities investigating deadly shooting at Canada Trace Mobile Home Park

Lakeland, Tennessee – The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting at the Canada Trace Mobile Home Park or the Memphis East Campground.

According to SCSO, detectives are investigating a death in the 9800 block of Justin Lake Cove in Lakeland. SCSO says deputies responded to a report of a fight.

At the scene, authorities say they were told that a shot had been fired and an adult male was found unresponsive on the ground.

Authorities say the suspect or suspects fled the scene before police arrived. The Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the man was pronounced deceased at 9:45 p.m. by Shelby County Fire.

Police have not said anything about the suspect’s description or what caused the fight. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 901-379-7625 or Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.

Update – The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a homicide in the 9800 block of Justin Lake Cove in Lakeland. According to SCSO, deputies responded to a report of a fight around 9:25 p.m. on December 19.

At the scene, deputies were told that a shot had been fired. Deputies found 58-year-old Timm Rudolph unresponsive on the ground, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was pronounced deceased by Shelby County Fire around 9:45 p.m. SCSO detectives say it was determined that the shooting was domestic-related.

A warrant was issued for 38-year-old Tiffany Baldwin. On December 26, Baldwin was taken into custody in the 100 block of State Street in Earle, Arkansas.

Baldwin is charged with Second Degree Murder.
