Shasta County Sheriff’s Office arrests suspect for alleged child sexual abuse

Shasta County, California – The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a male suspect for allegedly sexually abusing a child.

The Sheriff’s Office said in a media release that its Major Crimes Unit was assigned an investigation involving allegations of sexual abuse of a child in March 2025.

SCSO says the suspect was identified as 46-year-old Adam Graves. A felony arrest warrant was issued for April 14, 2025.

On April 15, 2025, Major Crimes Unit detectives and Patrol Deputies served a search warrant on Grave’s residence in the 15000 block of Sol Semete Trail in Redding.

The Sheriff’s Office says Graves agreed to give a statement. Following an interview, Graves was booked into the Shasta County Jail.

He’s charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Oral Copulation, Statutory Rape, five counts of Oral Copulation, three counts of Rape, and six counts of Sexual Battery.

Graves is being held on $150,000 bail.
