Seven people were shot at Maplewood Park this evening. The Rochester Police Department responded to Maplewood Park on Bridgeview Drive for a report of shots fired around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday.

At the scene, officers found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were shot during a large gathering within the park. At this point, authorities believe seven people were shot.

One person has succumbed to their injuries. Another victim is suffering life-threatening injuries. Five people appear to have non-life-threatening injuries. It is not clear what led up to the shooting or many people were shooting.
